2009 Spring Tours Excellence in music performance requires tutelage, practice, dedication and performance. The HCA music program is designed to train young musicians to the highest standard in all of these areas, and an important aspect of this training is the annual Spring Tour. Junior High Choir and Band students will be trying something new this year. Instead of competing at festival, the Junior High Choir and Band will retreat to Camp Caroline, Caroline, AB for a fun-filled two days of tuition from top clinicians. Camp Caroline is a top-notch facility with a variety of outdoor activities and an indoor swimming pool. This year's Senior High Tour builds on the experience of HCA's previous Spring Tours and combines Festival competition with multiple performance dates and an intense day of clinical tutelage at MEI in Abbotsford. Additional cultural, educational and recreational activities are also part of the tour, providing students with a wide range of experiences beyond music! The tour schedule is intensely demanding and requires the best students have to offer as musicians and as team members. Of course, putting 65 students together on a 6day road trip is a certain recipe for fun and lifelong memories. Click on the right-side menu for details of each tour.
